Classic Oldie

"Classic Car"
8x8 oil on Pintura panel
There's a little garage near my studio, where some 'car guys'  restore classic cars. I've been driving by it for years and have always wanted to paint this beautiful peridot green car. Now that I'm posting, I realize that I should know what kind of car it is. But, I'll have to tell you next time.

Classic Bug and Painting Classes

12x12 oil on Birch

I couldn't resist painting a much larger version of this classic Volkswagen with the Peace sign in the back window. Fabulous and really fun to paint! Some paintings seem to paint themselves.
I've also revamped my look here using Blogger's new template to add one of my favorite features, the blogroll with thumbnails. How can one resist those images? So tempting. It isn't complete yet so if you aren't on there it's because it has to be edited one blog at a time and I have a lot of links. Now you can add up to 10 pages on your blog so check out my Paintings for Sale and Sold Work pages. I also have a class planned for which I'm working out the details. Stay tuned......

That's Classic

 SOLD
I once owned a VW just like this one. It was a powder blue, 1963 with a sunroof which slid open the entire length of the roof. It was classic and I did love it. I frequently see this car around Provincetown and think I gotta paint it. So I did.
Notice that I'm not putting up the buy now buttons as I have to hoard some of these paintings for my Shed Show which will begin a week from today :D   Maybe the owner of this car will come by and say "HEY, that's my car. Can I buy that painting?" and I'll say......"sure." ;)
