SOLD
I once owned a VW just like this one. It was a powder blue, 1963 with a sunroof which slid open the entire length of the roof. It was classic and I did love it. I frequently see this car around Provincetown and think I gotta paint it. So I did.
Notice that I'm not putting up the buy now buttons as I have to hoard some of these paintings for my Shed Show which will begin a week from today :D Maybe the owner of this car will come by and say "HEY, that's my car. Can I buy that painting?" and I'll say......"sure." ;)

Mary, it's a great painting of the old VW Bug!
Fabulous painting, what terrific colors!! Love the peace sign:) Sending you a virtual slug bug:)
Ok, this color is like the perfect blue! It's almost the same color as my little Miata that I drive! Great work on the painting!
Sweet painting, so much character!
Ah the VW days. Had a white 68 that I sold for a tan 67 in mint condition. My girlfriend bought a yellow 66. After we got married I painted it white like this one. I made a painting just like yours back then--gave it to a buddy--a VW addict. Those were the days. Thanks for the memories.
Got to *love* this bug!
I LOVE this Mary, it has such a fun feel with wonderful color.

I have loved VW's since I was a little girl. My mom's friend had a red one just like this (no sun roof, though). Great job in painting this treasure, Mary.
Love that bug...I had an orange one for 14 yrs.

love it! i remember that car, have a shot of it from our trip. have a ball next wk. wish i was goin!
Wonderful colors! What a great painting.
Mary- I cannot believe I missed this one? Love it!! My first car was a beige VW bug. Poor 'very cute' boys that rode to high school with me had to help jump start me down a hill half the time!! That soon got old and unsafe and my dad traded that sweet car in- have missed it ever since. This one is wonderful- very nostalgic and I just bet the owner comes a'knocking:) Good luck on the big sale in the shack as Kelley calls it:)
Love the how you got so much personality in this painting! Also I adore your watercolor sketches you've been doing too!!
It's a lovely painting. It would be pretty awesome if the owner did get to see it, even more if he or she bought that painting from you.
An excellent painting of the Volkswagen beetle! It really showed how passionate you are in painting and how much you love your old beetle. By the way, what happened to your old Volkswagen Beetle? Did it have any problems with its engine or in its other mechanics?
