Mystic River Bridge WIP
This is a 12x12 I plan to include in my November Show at Tishman Speyer Properties. I don't always draw the image onto the board but for something as complicated as the bridge, I gridded my photo and my board. I will also use a print out of this stage to work out the trusses as they need a bit more work, but not TOO much. For now, I'm going to the beach at the end of my street because the SUN is out here!

How great you are having an exhibit at Tishman Speyer....will this interfere with Open Studios? This is a great piece.
I like the colors in this painting. Have fun at the beach!

It doesn't look unfinished to me---I, however, am not a painter and I bow to your superior knowledge and your wisdom in going to the beach.
WELL, Lorna. If it looks finished to you it I will consider that in my decision to work on it some more.
Anyone else have any advice on this?
Often times, the artist goes too far which I would hate to do with this.
The beach was great.
Mary, this is awesome, I love it. The trusses are perfect, I wouldn't touch them. They are loose and not too forceful, just right. Congrats on the show. Is there an opening?
Just a LEEETLE more work on the trusses - not too much! It's beautiful, bridge-girl!
Thank you.
I've determined that only a teeny bit is needed with this.
I really like the fearless way you used color and it all works here.
Very unfettered and believable, good to go, I think.
Very cool!!
i swear that black cloud follows me to the beach, but i go anyway. guy at the beach even commented on it when i pulled up!
This color just makes me pulse quicken, beautiful!!!
The colors sing here, guess the contrast between the blue greens and orange reds? I love the way you handled this subject
Love your blog...your work has a PUNCH of Life to it. It says, "Hey, Look at me! I am alive!" That might sound corny but that is what I got from it when I looked at it! I will fllow! Thanks for the great blog.
