Parrsboro Pine

This spruce has been standing on the edge of the lawn at the cottage in Parrsboro for the last 12 years but when Don and I arrived there this year, no more tree! There were such violent Ocean storms that the erosion this winter was heavier than usual. I did this watercolor last October when I was up there. Glad I caught this magnificent tree, then. I love this place.

Mary, this is lovely. I am so glad you captured the wonderful tree in time. And also glad that you are feeling better!
This is a great little painting and how nice you have a piece of history. I'm not used to seeing your watercolors..
I love all the pastels in this---I mean pastel shades of colour. But I guess you knew that. enjoy the cottage.
I love the washiness of this, and the strong composition! You are doing real well for a gal with a bad back!
Oh Ive missed a few posts, your blog hasnt been updating in my reader so Im glad I came by to see where you were (youve been here the whole time!!!) Anyway..... Sorry to hear you have had a bad back, I know exactly what that is like, I had to leave a job I had years ago because of this problem. Everything is such a task and more tiring when you are in pain. So hope you are on the mend soon. Love the painting, it looks like such a beautiful spot. What a shame the tree is no longer, but lucky you captured it when you did X
I really like the colors, lights and darks in the logs.
