"Pig love" 6x6 oil on board |
Check out the rest of this month's challenge paintings at Girls Just Wanna Paint.
I've been painting this little pig again and again to get value and color saturation practice and wouldn't you know that today, the brilliant Carol Marine and her equally brilliant husband David, announced their newest cool DPW idea which is called ArtBytes.
They are mini lessons on, you guessed it, value and color saturation among other lessons and demos which they've just rolled out. They're making them instantly available through PayPal for very low prices. I snapped up a few today and I'm sure I'll be returning to the 'well' as they add more. I've taken workshops with Carol and she is the best, most thorough teacher I've ever studied with.

Love these pigs...and the pig story! Especially love the red reflections...so vibrant.
One of.my very favorite food combos is sweet and hot. Just like these little pigs!
I totally agree about Carol Marine's new ArtBytes. What an amazing new site!
If she doesn't want him, I'll take the cow eyed fellow! Lovely work, Mary!
Wow! This is really striking with the dramatic values and reflective light! These piggies look all nice and warm with happiness and LOVE!
Love the small separator of green between the light on top and the reflected red below! Super touch, Mary!
Mary, This is GREAT!!! Love the colors, and the "cow eyes"!
Hugs from The Big Guy!! :)
Love your piggies. That red cloth reflecting in them is so nice. We all should do this exercise, paint the same object over and over. I bought one of Carol's artbytes, so worth the money.
Love the red reflecting into the two piggies from the red material..excellent job.
Terrific pigs Mary! The red reflections are wonderful.
Happy Painting,
Nora
