In preparation for the value lesson I will be teaching my students tomorrow, I did a step by step demo beginning with a value block in in burnt umber. I inadvertently created a tangent but this can easily be remedied. Another good lesson ;)

More Pig Love
In preparation for the value lesson I will be teaching my students tomorrow, I did a step by step demo beginning with a value block in in burnt umber. I inadvertently created a tangent but this can easily be remedied. Another good lesson ;)

Love your piggy... Too cute. Also love the colors that you placed thoughtfully over your value study!
Sigh...Green...my favorite! Love that bits of underpainting coming through around the edges and the beautiful shine shows this to be a wonderful ceramic piggy bank. My favorite yet!
love these piggies, Mary! nice to see the process....
Pig Love, Pug Love, it's all good. What a great lesson! And a great Demo! Lucky students!
this is great! I love your brushwork.
What do you mean by tangent?
I love all the variations! Pig love, indeed! :-)
I assume the tangent you referred to is that sexy turquoise Speedo that Piggy is wearing. What's not to love?
Great pig, Mary! Those values are right on. And that underpainting through is priceless! : )
I love this, but wish too that you would elaborate on the accidental tangent. Thanks!
Love your greens. Thanks for sharing your process.
