Pour Me a Cup

I picked up this little teapot in The Mother Load a cool little shop in Bonita, Florida. This is the first painting I've done of it and I think I'll take a page out of my friend and teacher Carol Marine's book and paint the thing until I turn into a teapot. That probably won't happen, of course, but you know what I mean.
I am also holding a 3 hour painting class on Saturday mornings from 10 to 1 through December.  I'll do a demo and then we'll paint from a still life concentrating on good composition, accurate values and carefully placed brushstrokes. Email me at WENDL15@verizon.net to sign up.

Wow! Mary I love this! The shadows are my favorite part! How exciting to hear about your class. I wish that I was there, I would sign up!

Wonderful, Mary. I love this teapot too, and the painting is just delightful. I am trying to imagine Carol as an onion with you as a teapot standing by. Too funny! Wish I could be at your class, I'm sure it will be fun and I would learn a lot.

GO Mary! This is an awesome painting - I love the teapot & cup composition - works like a 'big' painting! Anybody close to Mary's studio should take advantage of this class - it will be amazing!

Remember "I'm a little teapot short and stout . . . " Evidently someone became a teapot at one time so be careful. I love the way you handle paint. Even your shadows are full of character.

Your class sounds wonderful for all involved!

And this study is lovely. You would've enjoyed doing our Challenge this month! It unveils tomorrow.

This is wonderful. You can see you've applied all that good stuff Carol teaches. I am thinking over and over of the many lessons she gave us while in Maine.
