Having flowers around the house is an indulgence worth the cost. Especially since they insure that there's always a prop to paint. I'm in love with the red/green color scheme, here.
Yesterday I worked as a volunteer 'booth sitter' for the Downtown Naples Festival of The Arts Show. The day was sunny and clear with high temperature of about 80 and NO HUMIDITY. My favorite weather. I had a great time meeting the artists and shopping for a few pieces of original art. Check out this deluxe golf cart with a Wisconsin license plate on it.
This is Naples, after all.

I agree.
Its a perfect 10! You inspire my dear!
Gorgeous! I love the way you shaped the flower, and the color! The shadow is also wonderful. This one is a real winner.
Just Beautiful! Such unusual color...love it!
Mary, I love this painting. The colors are unusual, and perfect! I love the underpainting, showing through, all the layer, just great!
Complements are working well in this little painting.
Nicley done.
This is KILLER, Mary! Really stunning. You go girl!
this is not a Lady in Red, It's a Duchess or a Princess Royal, at least.
Can you tell I'm obsessing about The Tudors?
I love the little flicks of color in this Mary. I'm not even going to talk to you about your weather, you'll hear my teeth grinding.
You haven't received enough comments on this one, Mary! It is really a show-stopper: I LOVE it! Great work, truly :-)
This is beautifully sensitive...(the painting, not the car!) Just catching up on blogs right now and I'm glad I waited, yours is such a treat!
