Tomato Surprise 4x4
Here's a shot of a little painting of tomatoes, I did today, just to get a basic painting down. I've had several wipe-outs (paintings) over the past few days while trying to paint the Mums and decided that it would be more productive to go to the pool ;P

Very nice Mary!
I had a tomato surprise once too: the girls left me some of their homegrown ones on the driver's seat of the car...
Homegrown tomatoes and pools in April? This sounds wonderful! We are just getting some daffodils here in north Idaho, finally!
Colorful little study, Mary... makes me want some tomatoes and salt for a snack.
Lovely tomatoes, can't wait to plant ours...the pool sounds like a nice option.
Mary, I love the tomatoes!!
thanks all :D
I live for comments
Nice, Mary! Love the colors and the composition. And the bit of shadow color reflected in the tomatoes.
What I like about your art is it always Pops out at me with the colors!
Mary, Oh my God,,,these paintings are unreal,,what the hell are you drinking in FL.? Sue
These are great - I love the vibration of color between the tomatoes and the background! And I'm soooo jealous of the pool!
I love the orange. I need to use orange more! It's one of my favorite colors and I don't use it enough.
I am copying a part of a comment I left for Kelley
"We definitely have to plan a time for you, Paula, and Mary to come up. Maybe I can kick hubby out for a night (or just send him upstairs) and you can all stay over and we can do a beach day, painting, and some margaritas and dinner at night. Just a thought ;-)"
SOund good? Are you still in Naples? Hmpf! Supposed to be 85 here this weekend!
Really nice, Mary - I love the colors in the shadows. I have something for you on my blog.
Hi Mary,
Thank you for your comments. I love the orange with the "lavenderish" background and the the shadows. Your use of color is so pleasing.
This is great! Lovely colour combination. I especially like the delicate leaves.
