Summer People
I've been away taking care of some family stuff which put a crimp in my creative process but my site meter report says you're all still there checking in. Thanks, I'm getting back to work today. I did this 9x12 plein air painting at a paint out many years ago. Initially, I thought it was a mistake to let the arms run off the edge of the board but most viewers think the people are fishing and don't seem bothered by the cropping. I like the color in this one. Hot and summery.

I like it, too. They are (in my mind) fishing. Although actually I know they are painting from their HATS! Welcome back, Mar.
Ah, and you do figures also! Really works. I think because of the water going the other way, balances the arms.
rdl, they're painting :D
Kells, thanks dearest. XO
Joyce, thanks for your comment. I really had fun with this painting. No struggling :D
Hey Mary, I just got back from So. Florida! I love the figures in this painting and I'm having fun thinking of all the things they could be doing! This has a nice feeling to it.
