Hawks Road, Parrsboro Nova Scotia

"Hawks Road" 12x12 oil on panel

The topic for this month's Girls Just Wanna Paint challenge is 'calm'.
Here we have bright sunlight casting tree shadows over the sandy road. This first glimpse of the Bay of Fundy comes into view at the end of Hawks Road, through a short stint of woods, where we have rented a cottage for the past 20 years.
It is Heavenly.

Sigh, well done and brings back fond memories of Nova Scotia. We spent 3 weeks there in 2003. Just lovely.

ˆI love, love, love this view and this painting. I remember that beautiful place and the feeling of calm I had there. This palette and the juicy brushstrokes bring that feeling right back to me.

I love your painting because I am too trying to be an artist but I am not that mature like you. You are outstanding.
