I've been AWOL from my blog due to the move back from Provincetown and the re-entry if you will. I had a fabulous week at my shed on the Pier, though I was somewhat chagrined to find out that people would rather buy (imported) shell Christmas ornaments than real art.
My Shed mate Eileen Counihan and I got along famously because we have the same (snarky) sense of humor about cheap goods from China among other things. She is doing something special with her wonderful night sky photos of "Starry, Starry Nights" so check them out at A Gallery in Provincetown if you're there.

Oh, we had fun, didn't we? Thanks, THANKS for not posting a photo of me. Paula is much more photogenic. Your painting is magical. I love it. I love that garden and photograph it every year, too!
Beautiful colors! Love this painting!
Great painting! Isn't that so true about the china trinkets!
I feel lucky that I got to see your beautiful painting in progress...I love how it just glows. You captured the beauty of that garden and the charming architecture there. Love painting with all you guys.
Your trip sounds like so much fun! Love the colors in your garden and the way you continued them into the structures in the painting. Very nice!
Such amazingly beautiful colors, i got lost in it! welcome back!
I agree with Kelley that this painting is magical. Just special and wonderful with all the gorgeous colors- then you keep looking and see all the variations and the scene behind...love this one!
Y'all have an awful lot of fun up there!:):)
Gorgeous piece Mary! Such pizazz! And I can relate how frustrating it can be to compete with mass produced items from China. Ugh!
I love this garden and how you manage to make the foreground pop. Speaking of which, that's a terrific window in the background.
Love this one, so colorful, and mysterious!
your painting is beautiful!
Gorgeous painting with oh so beautiful colors reminiscent of the blue/purple hydrangeas themselves. I love your strong stand for America too!
