How is everyone enjoying the New England heat wave so far? I'm sequestered in my a/c studio room at home. Every now and then I run out to water or do some garden chores and run back in when I start dripping. It's cherry season and I bought two kinds. The red and yellow ones and the dark red ones. Delicious! For some other beautiful cherry paintings check out Dana Cooper's blog and Claudia Hammer's blog. These ladies rock.

Honey, this painting has it ALL. rich, exciting color, dynamic composition, great brushwork.... fantastic.
Great composition and I love the background colors. Those cheeries look yummy with their bright, intense reds. Well done!
Mary, What a great painting! I love everything about this, the colors, the subject, the composition! A job well done!
Great cherry painting, Mary and nice rich color. Thinking about getting an AC for the studio...
I love these cherries! - especially the choice of red and green. Keep cool and lay low.... Maybe a dip in the ocean is in order!
Thanks for mentioning me in your blog! I love your use of color especially Synchronized swimming, Apple madness, green tea and of course your cherries! Cool that you also "thread" your viewfinder! I love it!
