Nova Scotia Farm

This house sits in a vast open field overlooking Five Islands, Nova Scotia, one of my favorite places. I finally was able to break out the paints and do some watercolors after spending some time settling in and visiting with family. For me, watercolor is about letting the paper do the work. Another version of this will be up tomorrow.

Such detail and depth with only the minimal amount of brushwork, really nicely done!

This painting is not pale as it appears on the screen. I have to tilt my laptop screen back some to get the full effect. Don't know why the photo doesn't pick up the saturation.
I don't like to enhance paintings too much in PhotoShop.

This is a lovely little painting, very fresh and somehow nostalgic.
