Carol Marine's Workshop Wrap
Here's a glimpse of one of my block in's from Carol's workshop, before I wrecked it ;) (well, lost the charm in some areas anyway) I forgot to photograph today's effort which was the only painting I completed. Not stellar but decent. I'll post it tomorrow.
Carol is a lovely young woman, poised and gracious, and she thoroughly knows her stuff! The lessons and exercises she covers are the ones you need to learn over and over again. The most important ones. Composition, Value pattern, ratio of values and color harmony. This was a very challenging workshop and I actually wish it were 5 instead of 3 days. Like, I'm just warmed up!
It was great fun and we all enjoyed each other immensely!

I don't know what's up with the two fonts and colors.
I enjoyed catching up here. I bet it was great fun taking this class.
People who don't paint, like me, have no idea of the passion and energy, not to mention talent, that goes into painting. Still you shouldn't have lit her up---it seems a touch dramatic
Who'd you light up, Mar? You had fun, didn't you???? I can't wait to see the one you finished, girl!
Hey,that painting is wrecked? Really? I thought it was kind of cool!!! Ok...a little different, but different's good...right? Looking forward to seeing the completed painting.
Indeed, those "basic lessons" are ones we have to learn again and again and again...and then we forget them, and have to learn them again and again and again...forever.
I like your study, it is a very strong, bold statement. No pussy-footin' around!
Maui - I love keeping in touch this way and keeping an eye on what you're doing. BTW, I knew immediately that it was an apple!
