Sunflowers in Aqua Glass Pitcher W/C 8x10
My Sunflowers are still robust after a week. I am trimming the stems every other day and using the flower crystals, but really, a week is long for Sunflowers. That being the case, there was only one choice of subject matter today.

I love the purple and yellow. This second one seems more confident and free. Try a third - see what happens!
The colors and technique in this are just beautiful and now I'm feeling a little sad that I didn't buy a bunch of these. The Cohasset Farmer's Market had a spectacular array of them amd at least I photographed them...perhaps mid-winter....
Nice one Mare!!
Love the complimentary colors and light background, Mary.
Both the sunflower paintings are such nice celebrations of summer.
Keep up the great work,
Faye
Great choice of subject matter. My favorite flowers, so nicely depicted. ;-)

Love all your watercolor sunflowers. They are so bright and fresh. Of course the complimentary colors are killer. Great choice for the subject matter. Thanks for the nice comments on my blog, it helped me to find you!
These water colours of sunflowers are wonderful Mary, so fresh and confident. Water colour in my opinion is so hard to get right but you have done it here!
