Wipe Out

Each painting is a maybe until it becomes clear that it's working. Sometimes it just doesn't work though. I'm posting this partially resolved painting which I wiped out twice and was going to wipe again BUT as Scarlet O'Hara said, "tomorrow's another day". We'll see.

I think it looks great, don't wipe it out. I love the contrasting colors. It beats the grey sky here.

I like it as is. Like flowers adrift in the wind. Beautiful.

Do not wipe it out, it's great!
Maybe you should try another angle, to valorize the small vase and its transparency but don't wipe it out.
I'm sure you can do it, after all as Rhett Buttler said: "With enough courage, you can do without a reputation."
I'm kidding, I'm kidding...

Thank you so much for your comment...What's funny was I was JUST looking at your blog the other day and admiring the lamp painting (the one from Christmas Tree Store)...I commented to my husband about what you said about dropping $50...We both laughed because the two of us are terrible there! Anyway thank you so much for the advice....That is exactly what I am looking for by being on here...I am new but I do feel that I am getting somewhere. At least on some of my other paintings (not so much the one you commented on!).. Day by day, I guess! Byt they way I like this one with the yellow flowers. The blue is exquisite!

DO NOT CHANGE THIS. The freshness of the flowers - you'll never keep it if you re-work it - I see nothing wrong with this - I like the composition one.two...three - there's a nice rthym !

This is SO great. Instant critique! It proves to me that, whatever you think you painted, the viewer may well see something different.
By the way, I stood and viewed the set up from above thus the glass block vase is barely visible. I think I need to indicate it with some very Subtle, well placed highlights.
I left the blue background much stronger than I care for, but look how many of you like it.
THANK YOU ALL!

This is exactly how I feel about my beadwork! ;)

I think this painting is beautiful just as it is. I also loved seeing the real flowers on the table next to it. Very inspiring!

Anyways, thanks for stoppin by my blog. I do hope you'll come again:)
