Sea Star Gallery, Matlacha 5x7
I finally finished it.
I tried to leave the composition loose yet complete to the viewer's eyes.
You'd think that after all the time I've spent around palm trees, they'd be second nature by now. Not.
This one gave me fits. I need to paint them more often is all.
I'm going to reward myself for my diligence today with a trip to the Dollar Tree ::big smile::::
Again, I thank these people for their fabulous color scheme.

This one is beautiful, Mary. Saying it gave you fits reminds me of Robert Henri's quote in 'The Art Spirit' that 'a painting that looks as if it were done with ease may have been an absolute battle in the making,' I have had my share of those.
love love the colors in this Mary. and you pulled off the looseness to boot. bring some of that back up north.
Nicely done. You deserve a Dollar Tree trip. Buy a magic towel for me!
absolutely fabulous! wish i was there!
Les, I was at Dollar Tree today, August 18th and I thought of you because they had the magic towels next to the register. I bought 2 for the baby nephews who are coming Labor Day Weekend.
