Edward Hopper Rooftops

"Edward Hopper Rooftops"
6x6 oil on Raymar panel
$125

This month's Girls Just Wanna Paint challenge was to paint like a famous artist.
Having just visited Pittsfield, Massachusetts, an old mill town whose Main Street is pretty much lined with stately old brick buildings, I chose Edward Hopper because I was reminded of his wonderful paintings every time I drove through the city.

I wish I could leave an artistically sound remark but is it OK to just be joyful I saw It?

Just awesome! Looking forward to your visit. We'll go stand where Hopper stood to paint Portland Head Light. And try not to get run over by a bus.

You did a wonderful job of capturing his strong design and colors...and yet still able to keep the sense of Mary.
