Painting at the Von Liebig

#14 Oranges on Blue Ground
5x5 oil on board
10 intrepid painters joined me for my second class at Von Liebig Art Center. I am always amazed at how well my students handle the exercises that I give them. I'll let my demo stand in for my 30 Paintings in 30 Days.
Here's one painting from a student who hasn't painted in years and wanted to break out of her artist's block. She did!
Student, Sue Riger "Teapot"

Sue's teapot is just beautiful! She broke out with a bang! Your oranges look so fresh and juicy!

Sue's Teapot is wonderful! Great colors!
#14 is #1 with me! Great art!
I also love"Drive By #13 Bonita Springs!" (Not sure why I haven't been receiving your posts lately?)
I love the brushstrokes, the colors, and the very interesting shapes in "13! All add up to another great piece.
Keep painting Mary!

Love this post, your succulent demo and your students work, it's all about sharing, isn't it Mary?

Mary, your class was excellent. Thanks for taking time to give each student personal encouragement and suggestions. I found it to be relaxed and very informative. Your demo painting was inspiring. I hope everyone who has the opportunity will take a class with you. After all these years, and thanks to your encouragement, I have set up a studio again. Thank you so much! Keep painting. I love your work!
