"On the Road" 6x6 oil on panel
This painting is part of my 30 in 30 challenge. I've always been a road girl and as many of you know, my hubby and I are about to pack up the cats and embark on our annual trip to Naples, Florida. These overpasses near DC were inspired by Karin Jurick's from Georgia to NYC and back series.
All of the paintings are for sale and you can find them in my DPW gallery the day after they post here.

My favorite of your recent work...
Love the shadow...
Just catching up on your Drive By, 30 in 30 Challange ... enjoying each Drive By and your easy going way with words, and then I get to this one. Wham! I love that little rush when an image just grabs you, as this one did for me. Great palette, contrast. I think it's those curves that really got me though - fab comp!
xoxo This fan is enjoying the Drive - looking forward to the next destination ;)
