Sanibel Lighthouse

SOLD at the Art Boutique at Tin City in Naples, Florida
Last weekend we took a ride up to Sanibel Island on a beautiful day. I took this shot of the lighthouse from the bridge as we were leaving.  This is the first of two paintings I did today while I listened to a replay of Blog Talk Radio featuring Carol and David Marine. It's absolutely true that if you paint several in a row they get better and better. Stay tuned.

Lovely painting Mary! Great brushstrokes in the trees and your sky has got a warm reddish feel to it. Thanks for sharing!

Love those big bold strokes and yet the lighthouse is made more of a focal point by being a bit tighter. Does that make sense? I don't know...I'm a bit off my usual self, but I do know this is a wonderful piece!

OMG, this is so awesome - the pink ground (m I right?) seems to peek through! And the various colors of blue in the foliage are gorgeous!
