Sanibel Lighthouse II

From the beach side of Sanibel Island. Man it was beautiful out there. White sand and lots of boaters moored in the shallow water. If it weren't so darned hot here in Southwest Florida, I could be tempted to 'live the Florida lifestyle' as they say in the Bealls ads ;) Don and I went to the beach yesterday. Low humidity and a Gulf breeze made it a perfect day.
Don't forget to visit my friends at the 4th Floor Artists Spring Open Studios this weekend.

Love this lighthouse too! Your skies are wonderful. I like the photo of the special fellow under the palm umbrella. Looks like a painting waiting to happen to me!!! Look at that shadow:)

Fantastic brushwork! It is too bad it gets so hot in the summers!

Mary, I really love your work. And thank you so much for a comment you left a while ago about the little flowers on a cactus of hers being my mom, visiting. That was beautiful and much appreciated.

Beautiful color and balance. Love to have you stay--it doesn't get much hotter than last weeek! Let's get together before you head north!

Mary, I think this is one of your best paintings. I love the colors, the brushwork and the composition. Very expressive and really lovely. Ah, I am dreaming of beaches.

Hi Mary, Thanks for introducing me to the art of Charles Sovak, I love it. Someone else on the web who saw my paintings on Paintingsilove told me about Sydney Laurence, the Alaskan landscape painter. One learns something new every day.

A closer in shot! Another exquisitely done piece, Mary. Are you two on your bicycle built for two trip now?

I love these 2 Sanibel paintings. That red peeking through is great.
