Dogwood Blossom

I should have stuck with the bananas maybe? A learning experience. That's what I call the ones that get away. I wiped this off 3 times before making a final effort. In the meantime my props wilted and I'm just not feeling the love for this piece. So, I'm wiping it off again and calling it a night. I included a detail here because it looks pretty out of context and because I wanted to post something for everyone who comes by here. You all make my day. The news isn't all bad though, the Red Sox came back to beat Cleveland just like they did last fall :D

Hey Mary...I think what I love the most about your paintings is that they are just that...PAINTINGS..the paint is SO evident in the visible strokes and beautiful...personally, I like the flowers on this one...thanks for posting for us blog junkies!

Thank you Paula. Amiga :D
I'm so happy when you send me a comment.
I am slacking today. Went out with my sis for lunch and spent the whole day. Lots of laughs ;)
Tomorrow I will put up a Banyan Tree finish.

Coming from a place where the daffodils are JUST peeking out - I am thrilled to see the Dogwoods! DON'T scrape! The focal point of this painting is great - maybe 'lose' the design of the vase? I love the flowers. And Happy Bloggers' Appreciation Day - 2 days late, but still, you're the one who got ME into this... and you are still an inspiration to me!

Kelley, thank you dearest. You inspire me too.
I'm looking forward to seeing daffs when I come home.
I didn't scrape it, but it's an 8x8 and there will need to be some very good design to complete this one. No matter, I'll put it away and see if it tells me what to do :D
Didn't know about blogger appreciation day but same to you.
