Interpreting Water with Collage

"Water"
6x6 paper collage

My interpretation of "water", for the September, Girls Just Wanna Paint challenge is a collage of the ocean, beginning with the sandy shoreline, made from Color Aid paper.
I've had this exquisite block of paper since I went to New England School of Art many moons ago and have barely used it because its chronological array of colors and hues is breathtakingly beautiful.
A reason to save it forever, right?
No.

This is delightful, Mary. I can't stop looking at all these wonderful colors. It's fun to use something you've kept for a very long time then it feels like a splurge.

Beautiful colors...great interpretation! I had that same problem with saving paper but finally came to the realization that if I used it for something beautiful I'd still always have it.

Looking good, Mary - bringing out your inner abstract artist (your words from your previous post) and collagist is exciting to watch!
