Boston Skyline

Boston Skyline 8x8 Watercolor
This painting is from a photo I took from the roof of the MFA Garage one late summer day. The view from there is glorious as you can see.
This summer I'm enjoying doing paintings that are a bit different from my usual work. I just completed another painting which needs to be kept under wraps for now, because it is my entry for North River Arts, Outside the Box show. The point of this show is for the artists to do something that won't be recognized as their work. Can't post it until after the silent auction which ends in early September.
I think I'm flying under the radar on this one ;)
FYI, my recent watercolors are in my DPW gallery and I will include a custom mat with each one.

Wow! Wow! Wow!
Mary, I am thrilled to be the first to comment on this wonderful view of the Boston Skyline. I love this painting for so many varied and wonderful reasons. First one being my blog is full of paintings of my interpretation of the Boston Skyline. I love the subject matter and I am happy that it seems you do also
I love the colors, the movement, the excitement, the spontaneity, and so much more!
Great job on a great view of a great city. My hometown!
Thanks for posting for all to enjoy.
Bravo!
Your art buddy,
Michael

I like this skyline very much! Colors, composition and very marysheehanwinn-ish character and mood.

I'm impressed with how you seem to make the jump to watercolors without missing a beat. They all are wonderful. Great job with this one-complicated scene--you were brave to tackle it.
