More of The Greats

Cooling off in the icy waters of Masschusetts Bay
I'm not really on the lam but it appears that way. Just busy with some gardening, visiting and beaching.  Our weather has switched from cool and breezy to hot and steamy. How hot? 97? Is that hot enough for you? (that's the local phrase during a heat wave) Luckily my new behemoth of an air conditioner handles it quite well and I am grateful for that.  I don't have a good painting to post so I'm giving you a link to the Farnsworth Museum to enjoy. There are three stellar exhibits on until the end of the year by some serious GREATS. Andrew Wyeth, Jamie Wyeth and Frank Benson. Enjoy!

Very nice photo of cool feet.

Thanks for the Farnsworth tour.

Welcome to the changed climate. Congrats for your new AC. Makes living in Cambodia bearable, eh? 100 degrees here, but less than 10% humidity and 30 mph wind really puts the stoke to the fire!

ACK! it's 55F here, at 6AM, and not going to get much warmer today! Soon ,,, soon ... we WILL have summer!

Cooler here in FL I think--we've had some needed rain, and some places a little too much.

Love the feet and the bright toes!

Great photo and a super way to cool off in that heat! I am so not a fan of heat or summer weather. I long for the cooler days of fall...

Don't forget N.C. Wyeth - his illustrative paintings are unbelievable!

Right, Kelley.
NC Wyeth was the patriarch and a wonderful artist who was tormented by his feeling that he was "just an illustrator".
His biography was a an interesting insight into the Wyeth family.
I include this link to it.
