In Storage

I love the abstract quality of the boatyard. Love its gritty industrial look. Summer's here though and the boats are all coming out of their shrink wrap.
Our Girls Just Wanna Paint show is still up at Duxbury Free Library so stop in and see it if you are in the area. Meanwhile I'll get started on another boat painting.

You are incredible! I am just loving your work these days. So colorful and alive and filled with well, YOU! You have "found yourself" my dear! Sorry I missed you at the GJWP gathering....let's walk through the dunes and paint!

Mary, I love the way you've put the color into the white power boat. We all know it's a white fiberglass hull (barring the red bottom), but you've done it with color. The triumph of reflections and shadows over local color. It really sings. Wonderful. And the sailboat is beautiful as well. And just the hint of the jack stands, I could go on and on... Gotta love a boat yard...

Again, I am astounded by how little I know about art, and how subjective the response can be---I saw two guys in hats and sunglasses before I realized that this wasn't as abstract as I'd originally thought. Love it anyway.

I just love the boats! Wish I could live on one of them. Heck, I'd even take them like this in dry dock!
