Classic Bug and Painting Classes

12x12 oil on Birch

I couldn't resist painting a much larger version of this classic Volkswagen with the Peace sign in the back window. Fabulous and really fun to paint! Some paintings seem to paint themselves.
I've also revamped my look here using Blogger's new template to add one of my favorite features, the blogroll with thumbnails. How can one resist those images? So tempting. It isn't complete yet so if you aren't on there it's because it has to be edited one blog at a time and I have a lot of links. Now you can add up to 10 pages on your blog so check out my Paintings for Sale and Sold Work pages. I also have a class planned for which I'm working out the details. Stay tuned......

Mary, Love this painting! This is identical to my very first car, which I just adored! Your blog looks so spiffy, great job!

This painting looks great, Mary! I love all the colors, especially the beautiful orangey color in the foreground. Twelve by twelve is such a nice size. Your blog looks terrific too. Everything really stands out and it has a nice welcome feel to it.

As much as I loved the unfinished version of this painting, I think the finished version is exquisite, too! Just lovely!

Love this painting. So many interesting colors and details. I love the deep blue shadows against the orange-ish foreground. Great perspective. The trees and phone lines really frame the little car and brings your attention right down to it.

This makes me super nostalgic--didn't we all own one of these at one time? Very cool painting! Thanks for the update with Blogger too. I added 3 pages back when but have never done much with them.
