Beach Point Morning

This is from a photo I took at Beach Point in Truro one morning in the late summer. Really, the light is more golden than I painted it in this watercolor, but I think I'll try it in oil and give it more of the mood I first felt there. The tide is low and the boats are all lying on the sand.

This is lovely. I'd love to see a upturned boat too. Can't wait to see it in oil. Love these colors.

Mary, I agree, you have done such a good analysis in w/c. Now it can be converted into a larger oil painting!

Mary... REALLY a different and wonderful piece of art... I love it.
AND although I think this is just fabulous, I'm looking forward to seeing how you interpret it in oil...

Hi Mary,

I love this painting. I know what you mean about how it looks in real life, but this is art -- super design and beautiful colour.

Reminds me of sandstone somehow, very soothing and warm...

Hi there Mary!... There's something to be said about pure... Simplicity!

Achieving it in one's painting process is never easy... but when it is achieved... it feels "right."

Good luck with the oil version! Loved your Beach Boy pair... relaxed... coulourful and as well... "Simply".... beautiful!

Good Painting!
Warmest regards,
Bruce
