Stonington Cottage

SOLD
This little summer home is perched on a ledge of rock in Stonington, Maine which is at the 'down-est' part of the Downeast Deer Isle peninsula. It's one of my favorite places in the world and there are many. Yesterday I did another 'booth sitter' gig at the Mercato Fine Arts Festival which was wonderful.  This very cool residential neighborhood is built around shops, restaurants, a movie theatre and Whole Foods.  I brought home delicious macaroni and cheese and Swedish meatballs from the vast hot food bar there. Awesome day!!

Okay, you're back on the list. But now it says you haven't made an appearance in 3 years. I'll be patient because computers suck. Don't blogs have a shelf-life?

Wicked nice little yellow house.

Clearly, I'm as lost as you are. But now You're only 41 minutes out and at the top of the list. Good job!

Oh I've always loved yellow houses. This just makes me plain happy. I adore the way this is cropped!

Mary, I love this painting! And you know I love Stonington too. Nice job. How about some more watercolors? I was on here earlier and this wasn't posted yet, thus the message from Chrissie

I've seen many paintings of this charming cottage, and stood and stared at it myself. This has got to be one of the nicest. I love the way you've zoomed in and framed it. And the way the sun is shining so brightly. Beautiful.

Ah Mary...what a gorgeous place and just the perfect dream home for moi. I've always wanted to live in Maine, on the coast...I have such respect and admiration for the hearty people who make their lives from the sea...

Elle me paraît bien agréable à vivre cette adorable maisonnette. Très jolie peinture, vous avez parfaitement bien fait jaillir la lumière.

A very pretty scene, makes one want to walk around to the front door and knock...Sounds like you had a lovely sit-in, too.

The yellow cottage is very pleasing, Mary. I follow quite a few blogs from Maine artists and it seems as if the homes are quite often painted in happy colors! How nice!
