Provincetown at Dusk
I applied and was chosen to show my work in a Trap Shed on McMillan Wharf in Provincetown for the week of July 18-24. About a half dozen of these little sheds are rented out to artists with the approval of the Pier Corporation and are fairly new to the Wharf scene. I visited with some of the artists this past summer and wanted to go for it since I've always felt a connection to Provincetown and love painting there. The beauty of the location is that everyone who comes by boat has to walk right by these sheds. That would be many hundreds of people each day :D This scene is from Bradford Street looking toward the Pilgrim Monument. I never get tired of the beauty of this place.

Wow! That's so cool! I've never heard of this place. Congrats on being selected!
Love your sketch, it's so loose and fresh. Those little sheds look like fun, congratulations. I could be very happy spending the day there.
Congratulations! Sounds like fun! Adorable little drawing, so fresh and free!
Love the drawing and congrats on being picked!
The shed is adorable-cozy- where is the bed?
That's great, Mary! I had never heard of those sheds. Very cute, little one room studio.
Will put those dates on my calendar. I love P-town and painting there too! Thanks for sharing your good news, and your vision!
Congratulations, Mary! Well done, and well deserved. And I am loving your pen and ink and color work. This one is lovely, very striking.
What a lovely idea with the little shacks and the exposure you'll receive from the public. Congratulations & hope it proves to be both a wonderful growing experience and fruitful. Love your paintings always.
