Remember these wooden clothespins? They must be antiques. Everything's made of plastic now :(

Fabulous. I remember the canvas bag we had hanging from the clothes line, and how I learned to double up the sheets. Lovely painting, sweet and nostalgic.

Mary, in my day, after we slogged home barefoot in the snow from school, we used to take the frozen sheets off the clothesline, then play dollies with the clothespins. My favourite one used to give me splinters but I still loved her dearly.

Mary, I love this! You have taken a simple subject, and with expertise in brushstroke, design and color, transformed it to a stunning piece of art.

I so admire your brushwork and use of color. This is such a simple and lovely subject. I'm an antique lover, anyhow.

These must be considered relics by now! Wonderful job, you have captured the essence of these clothespins! Love the lights and darks!

I love this painting and the subject! I especially love the reflected light on the inside of the pins. Fabulous job on the subject, composition and color!

This is great! Love your treatment of such simple objects. I wonder how many people still hang out laundry. I really do remember hanging out laundry in the winter. Frozen sheets!

Very sweet! I do remember these from my "clothes-line" childhood (in the winter we hung the laundry in the attic to dry); though I only used these when I'd run out of the wooden clip ones, lol
