i love this and the last one- been a LEETLE too busy to comment but i am enjoying what you are doing my dear!
I adore this! I want all your signature dinners! Mine are chicken piccata, lasagna, homemade pizza, pies and cakes, scones, calzones, chinese salad, chili and quiches.
Mary, I love your color sense! This is using your signature colors, and it's beautiful!
These colors work so well together--love the simple lines of the take out boxes.
And you are right about the cooking--it is an art form in and of itself, and can be fun, but painting trumps it everytime!

Love the color here. One of mine is pizza too..and potato salad.
The drawing here was challenging. Getting those flaps to read corrrectly took some adjusting.
I did do some wiping with a q-tip on It's a great tool for wiping small areas and edges.
I took a class with the late great Charles Sovek and the one quote that stays with me is, "Don't make anything in the painting too precious."
Mary...I love this painting. The colors really call me. I've heard that quote before from other sources and it's really true...Also, "Don't get too attached to any part of a painting"...different words, same idea. Shishi
I love this painting of the chinese take out box. Sometimes it's the simplest of subjects that make the best paintings. This one's a great example. And, of course, I love the avocado green color!
