The Perils of WIP
I'm going out on a limb here by posting the finish to this painting. I got wonderful comments on it but didn't feel that it was complete. I also had my hubby check it out because he is really the typical viewer, not an artist. What I ask him is, "does anything bother your eye?" If I disagree, I don't change it, but often he is able to point out something that doesn't read clearly. So, love it or hate it, this is it. I will add that this is one of the few times I've taken a painting further and did not feel that I wrecked it.

Well, hey there, Miss Winn, honey!
Thanks fer stoppin' by my blog!
I like yer artwork - 'specially that Joanie's Blue Crab Cafe. That "cold beer" sign adds just the right touch I tell ya what!
this is really a nice piece, Mary!
Wow, you really did a great job with this one, Mary! I know the fear of messing up a good thing, but you did a great job!
Really like that finish. nicely done.
Really good job of color resonance. The colors are vibrating. I do like it very much, and it looks completed. Love the sky hue, as it balances the bottom foreground hues.
Great!
Nice job. It's nice to have another pair of eyes to help one stop before going too far with a painting. Whew, thanks goodness. This is a beautiful painting!
yes, nice job :) I really like the variety of shapes in all the foreground flowers
Very nice. Love how you picked up the hot pink from the flowers and used it in the glow around the trees! It does indeed glow with color!
Hey Mary,
I love both of these Crane Beach paintings. Beautiful brushwork.
