The Breakfast Club

 SOLD
Who doesn't love Pelicans? These guys are waiting for the scraps as the men above clean the fish after a deep sea fishing excursion. I love when they land in the water. They stick out their feet and land like they're on water skies which were probably designed after them, come to think of it!
I am busy washing blinds and windows and packing up the studio for our trip North on Friday morning.

Thank you for visiting my blogs and leaving comments. I appreciate it. I know this is my first visit to yours. I am particularly fond of the artists I view. I get a vicarious thrill from their work. Your pelicans are wonderful and I love those birds. Looked one right in the eye last summer when down on Anna Maria Island. Even tho' I live in NH, I'm not well versed in MA geography. What part is the South Shore? I'm just now familiarizing myself with North Shore as we took a trip there a few weeks ago. My husband did a photo shoot exercise at Endicott College.

Never saw a pelican, but I do think they are fascinating birds. Love the title of that painting.

You are some hot ticket, Mary! I almost emailed you a photo of pelicans I took in Sanibel, when you said earlier that you wanted to paint one. These are super.

Don't work too hard. It's beautiful up here in MA, looking forward to your return.

These are great, love the motion of the water and the fact that the birds really feel like they are floating in the water, must be hard to do. . . I first saw a real life pelican four years ago, I screamed like a school girl, this prehistoric thing nearly missed my head and landed, somewhat gracefully in the water!!!

I just never knew they were so big in real life -
