Hide & Peep

Click to Bid
This is my Painting for the Girls Just Wanna Paint Challenge. There's more subtlety in the color than is visible in this photo, and that's almost always the case. I like to say that if you see a painting in a book and you think it's great, you'll be doubly delighted when you see the real thing. I got the Peeps at the half price Easter sell off in the market. I also got some gold plastic eggs :D  Stay tuned.

Mary, I love this picture and what the yellow does to show off the rose. I had a giggle at the story you told on my blog. What hubby sees as a delicacy you use as house-plant fertilizer!!!I am afraid it is the same with bokkoms, they never loose their fishy smell and most people not from this area will run a mile rather than eat them!

Lovely painting The subtleties even online are luscious.

Thanks so much for visiting my blog and leaving an encouraging comment. I hope to get to know you better through the blog world. Sounds like you have a wonderful, varied life and like me, enjoy being in different places and countries. BTW, the birthday boy looks very much like Ms. Kitty, a stray who adopted me for 15 years.

I think this is gorgeous, Mary! What a fabulous job you did on the glass 'vase' and that background is just so subtle with calm and pleasing tones. Just makes me sigh right out loud looking at it!

The colors are beautiful, the glass and brush strokes are great. Nice work. Oh and its terrible, but I just noticed you left me a comment in February! So in response, yes, the Carol Marine workshop was GREAT! :)
