Pass the Salt

I recently picked up these little 1940's S&P shakers at one of the many consignment shops here in Naples. These could have been on my Nana's kitchen table along with some of the other items you'll see at Girls Just Wanna Paint.

There's something about those shakers (the color??) that remind me so much of the Fuller Brush lipstick samples my grandmother used to let me use. (after which my mother would get outraged and make me wipe off my lips. lol) Nice painting!

beautiful painting! I love the drama of the colors between the red and green! I also love the wonderful daubs and dabs of color covering the canvas!

Oh I forgot to tell you - my pressure is up so I will have to pass on the salt and just admire this wonderful painting!

Very nice Mary, love all the colors I see in the shakers. Isn't it fun to shop for props?

Hi Mary!
Thanks for visiting my blog and leaving such nice comments. I really appreciate them.

I browsed through this blog and you other blog and I really enjoyed seeing your paintings and painting challenges and New England photos.

The glass in this S&P shaker painting looks so real! Good job!
