Treasure

You know how things that are old are more precious than things that are new? This little vase is made of recycled glass from Egypt and was a Christmas gift from my dear friend, Teak.  So, it's new but it's old, too. Today is a snowy, cozy day at home painting in my pajamas :D listening to Dan Gibson music on Pandora radio. I could not be happier.

An explosion of color, this spider mum is a wonderful new year's fireworks display. The vase looks terrific.

Painting in your pajamas reminds
me of a Groucho Marx joke, but lets
not go there..

Hi Mary!
Ok, first you have imagine Groucho
(with cigar)saying that he shot an
elephant in his pajamas the other
day.
"How he got into his pajamas he'll
never know!"
Sounds lame when I do it, but Groucho would always get a laugh.
So when you said you painted flowers in your pajamas, I imagined
p.j.'s on the arrangment!:( ;)
Anyway.. Mr. Meowie has recovered.
(he even got a present from santa!)
Happy painting Mary!

I'd totally forgotten about Pandora...thanks.

As for your treasure: I wonder which is more beautiful, the painting or the model?

Fireworks was exactly what I thought of also when I looked at the mum. I like the way you have 'exciting' areas of pulsing color and then some calmer areas. The glass and the shadow make me think of water. Very nice, Mary!
