Ibises

 SOLD
My husband likes it still, which means I haven't killed it. Believe me, he'll tell me if I have, and for that I'm grateful.

This is one of your best I've seen!! I have to stare at it some more now...

No, you just made it stronger - carefully crafting the light sides against the darker backgrounds. Perfect. Now don't TOUCH it! :)

These ibis (ibi?) are magnificent! You did well to go back and define them better.

Just gorgeous! Aren't we lucky to have very honest husbands to critique?

I love the light in the grass under the birds...perfect! And the scratchy texture of the background is great too! Love your work! Your color palette is delicious! :)

Mary, I had to come back and see it some more. Sooooo beautiful. The lime green grass in the sun is just fantastic and there's a dreamlike sense about the whole scene. For me, this is your masterpiece.

Hi Mary, Thank you for visiting my blog with nice comments.
This is a lovely painting - lively and expressive! I became your 'instant' follower.
Keep up the good work.
Today I spent most of my time meeting new artists on this blogger planet. I have to admit that it could be very addictive.
I better get back to my canvas for my new still painting that I just underpainted with acrylic last night, and now it's ready for the oil treatment.
A little scared of my new experiment but should be fun.
Come visit my blog again to see how the painting evolves, which I have no idea at this point.

wow what a terrific topic idea--and the colors are so vibrant! The blues in the background achieve that distance....the whole work is harmonious in color. Love it!

I like it too, I like the colors, the softness, the background. Listen to your husband, ha!
