Sedona Red Rocks

I did this small painting Tuesday from the balcony of our suite at Los Abrigados, here in Sedona Arizona. We're keeping pretty busy seeing everything here in incredible Red Rock country. The highlights so far are Wednesday's trip to the Grand Canyon and our hot air balloon ride on Thursday . I intend to post in more detail about both of these adventures, illustrated with photos, but after today's adventure to Jerome, elevation 5,200 feet, complete with switchback roads all the way up and the same configuration for about 4 levels in town, I am too tired to devote myself to the effort. Suffice to say, Arizona is a must see destination. More to come.

Wonderful painting. Glad you are having a good time. My mother saw my blog and the ONE thing she said was that she loved your pepper painting.

Isn't Sedona inspiring? I'm so glad you liked it. We missed you here in NE!

I'm sorry I wasn't paying attention and see that you have so recently been tagged--and I just tagged you again!! Not that you probably don't have anything else to do. . .

I'm so glad that you're visiting the Red Rock country--so amazing! I love how the red rock makes the vegetation so green.

Wonderful painting, indeed. I've never been to Arizona before. I'm happy to see a little bit of it through your painting.

Hi Mary! Thank you for your comments on my blog. I always love to hear from you. I was waiting for you because I KNEW you would figure it out! Love (real name) Myra'Jane'Anderson.

Mary, I have never been to Arizona, but my ex used to live there in the winter, and Dave loves it, and you love it, so I must make the effort. Tell the Balloon folk not to expect to hear from me.

Lorna, the balloon tour is not to be missed for the sheer wittiness of the balloon Captain, Mark, and the "chase crew' which I call the 'Balloon Posse"....you'll have some funny stories to write about;)
It was not at all scary.

I Want to Be an Artist, you are hilarious and An Arist.

Paz, you and your camera would be right at home in Sedona ;)

Vicki, I can get tagged again because I have found some new blogs and would like to share them.

Kelly, you and I are going to
Sedona at some point.

To Jane's (IWBAA) Mom. Say something nice about Jane's paintings and keep all other comments about the other artists close to the vest, if you know what I mean.

Camille,
Thanks also for your encouragement. This painting looks SO much better than the photo. I couldn't get the depth and I don't photoshop the colors in my paintings because they look fake. I'm glad to get some feedback on it.
Thank You !
rdl, hugs ;)

Mary what are you doing? You must be painting a very, very, very large painting! Just kidding. Can't wait to see your next work!

;) just creating suspense....
Actually, I haven't got back to business since Sedona. Decorated for Christmas which means putting up lights in the windows and putting out the little table trees I have made. I spent today 'excavating' my 'home' studio. I am over run with magazines and think I'll take a break from subscriptions. It's nuts.
