Well, they aren't really dancing but their lacquered surfaces look like they are.
After reading An artist lost a sale today, I plan to include a click to bid button on each painting I post for sale and I will post at least 3 paintings a week to eBay for auction, no reserve. It drives me crazy when I can't find the prices on things I want to buy and I won't ask either. You heard it here.

Mary - I have been gone and am just now catching up on what I've missed. They are all wonderful but these last two are something else. I adore the "in your face" use of color.
I agree... really cool colours...
Beautiful colors! And the highlights really give them a nice shine.
love your new paintings Mary. Those Red rocks are very cool!
I love the colors!
Paz
You are wild! I love them! Go! Go! Go!
Well wow!!! I LOVE the colors in this...great job.
Now these are a couple of "jammin'"
pumpkins!

What song would they be dancing to, I wonder?
:)

Oh I love this! LOVE it! I hope when I have a little more moolah that I might own one of your paintings....On the move...HI Mary!Yes things worked out. We FINALLY got into a new place about two weeks ago. two moves in 5 weeks...Yuck!But I haven't painted since August. At first it was just that we were so busy with the move at the end of August. Then I started workign part time the first week in Septemeber. Then our living arrangements were so awful that I was miserab;e and didn;t want to paint....I just wasn't inspired. In the meantime I also got rejected from a juried art show....So now we are settled and things are good but in the meantime I have lost my confidence in my painting. I feel like because people like me as a person they tell me my work is good when it really is just garbage. I see all the other artists I know, and how different their work is from mine, and how artistic, and I feel foolish for attempting it. I have ideas that I can never translate to a acanvas. I see them with my eye every day. I will envision how I would paint it, but I CAN't paint it. All I paint is what you have seen. I want to sell all my paintings for really cheap, get rid of them, and start fresh! So yes things worked out, but I am in a huge slump! I did set up my easel today. I actually wanted to paint, which is progress I suppose! But it was my husbands birthday so I was busy running around that...We will see! Katie
Mary, I agree with everyone, these newest ones have fantastically vivid colors -- just wonderful. And I want to thank you for posting the link to the "an artist lost a sale" article -- I needed to hear that and will take action soon. Thank you! Camille
I forgot to say that this one is now my screensaver (and I've looked at a S***load of paintings the last few days) -- hopefully it will inspire me today to do something that makes others happy. High Five!
thank you ALL!
I wasn't sure if this was tooooo
over the top color wise. Most of you like it. More paintings of these little gourds are coming.
