One More Post

SOLD The washing is going in the machine and Don keeps trying to enlist me in his various chores. "Can you get the door?", "Could you hold this while I...", Can you clean out the fridge so I can throw stuff away?" "Let's go say good bye to Dan and Grace.", "is this...? Can you.....? ", "Where's the.....?" :D That's my hubby. Yesterday I went to hang up my laundry and sure enough. He left 4 clothes pins on the line and I had a dozen pieces of laundry over my shoulder. You gotta love it. We are alike but not, is the best way to put it! He'll be going to the card game at one and I'll have 4 hours to get stuff done. Works for me :D This cottage is in Truro, MA. I need to just finish up some rough spots here when I get home. No more posts 'til then. See You Sunday.

There's a lot to like here. Nice composition. I like how the truck leans to the side keeping things informal, relaxed. Where's the violet shadow across the roof coming from? I love the colors -- sort of exaggerated warms and cools.

To me new homes are too perfect these days. Vinyl siding is everywhere. Nothing sags. Everything is at perfect right angles. This little house is much more inviting.

I get it about the shadow now.
That was bugging me.
The houses around this little cottage dwarf it. All are situated very close and this is early AM.
I will add more shadow to the middle area of grass on the left side of the cottage, connecting it to the roof and shadow side of the building.
I also may soften the roof shadow.

This is one of my favorites. The colors, the composition, the brushwork - everything is perfect!

Forgot to ask whether this one is still for sale? I didn't see it on Ebay, but perhaps you still have it, or don't want to sell it?

This one is lovely! May be because the great (and simple) composition or the well chosen colors, the fact is the painting itself bring us joy. The tiny house, the bent truck, the ocean in the back, the sunny day... all is an invitation for a smile.
