Little Carlos Pass, Bonita 9x12

Painting a day is a huge commitment and I am in awe of the many who are doing it. I have been painting almost everyday but over the last week we've had company and social time with some of our friends who are leaving South Florida to go North. Thus, not much painting. Sometimes my tendency to over complicate my subject gets in my way and the painting isn't good enough to post. This painting was done on site in Bonita Springs, Florida. Back to the easel I go.....thanks for stopping by.

Well, this one certainly has beautiful simplicity. Love the color of the water. Makes me wish I were there. Don't stress. Work when you can, forcing it kills it!

Really like the ocean color against the sand.

I got an email from Mike Beeman, who's blog is at pastelsbeeman.blogspot.com
He tells me that this boat is called a West Wight Potter. Who knew? This boat had wind chimes and little windmills hanging on board and towels draped over the rails. I remember thinking how great it would be to wake up on that boat on a perfect summer day.
