Guitar Man 5x7 Watercolor

I was so exhausted by the fanfare surrounding my award that I haven't been able to paint . Just kidding ;) Saturday evening I went to an outdoor party where a band was playing. This guitar man, caught my eye as a perfect painting and I took a bunch of snaps of him. The red spot lights set the mood. I included a detail from the initial sketch just for the heck of it.

Your watercolors are beautiful Mary. I have dusted off a watercolor set my sister purchased for me a few years and now I just need to learn how to use them! Your work is an inspiration. I love your colors and the translucent quality. Beautiful.

Thank you Jeffrey. I like doing watercolor sketches. One of my WC idols is Charles Reid and another is Trevor Chamberlain who is equally proficient in watercolors and oils.

Love the colors and the looseness!

I wanted to say thanks for commenting on my blog (video). I've gone through 3 computers in the past six months and I lose my favorite links. Now I've gotten yours back. Several down, gobs to go.

Very nice! I love the way this all works together - a bit of mystery as well.

I was exhausted by the fanfare surrounding your award, but thankfully, I came late and was able to recover in private.

I want all my shirts from now on to be made in the style of this guitar man. My daughter, the tlented user/keeper of my sewing machine, is getting a link.
